New Submission Deadline
To each of you personally, we at the Alliance for Young Artists & Writers are deeply sorry for the confusion and frustrations caused by the technical issues during our transition to a new submission portal for the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards.
We have asked all our regional partners that have the flexibility to extend their deadlines to the new year, up through February 29. The Connecticut site has extended their deadline to February 26!
If we already recruited you to be a reader/judge, we’ll be contacting you again just before the 26th to get you into the system. Thank you!
We plan to have a virtual ceremony in April, and our Keynote speaker with be Emily Inouye Huey, author of Beneath the Wide Silk Sky, winner of the 2023 Malka Penn Award for Human Rights in Children’s and Young Adult Literature.
