We will begin accepting submissions for the Connecticut Student Writers (CSW) contest on October 15, 2025. The deadline for all submissions is February 17, 2026.
General Rules
- Students may submit only one entry per category (e.g., one poem, one short story).
- Submissions should not exceed 1,500 words.
- Please do not send class sets of student work.
- No submissions will be acknowledged or returned due to financial restrictions.
- Artwork is welcome and may be submitted separately or with a written submission.
Certificates of achievement will be awarded to published authors and to those receiving Honorable Mention.

The parent/guardian permission form can be downloaded here; however, it must be uploaded to Submittable, not mailed in.
