CT WRITING PROJECT WORKSHOP SHOWCASE


An inspired idea that came from Corey Modisette, CT Writing Project (CWP) Teacher Consultant

The CT Writing Project is sponsoring a CWP Teacher Consultant Workshop Showcase on Saturday, Oct. 18, 2008, from 9am-2pm in the Rome Ballroom on the University of Connecticut campus in Storrs.

The purpose of this Showcase is:

  1. To promote the Connecticut Writing Project and its services to educators including: Superintendents, Principals, and other administrators;
  2. To give both new and veteran CT Writing Project Teacher-Consultants (TCs) an opportunity to develop and present workshops to an authentic audience;
  3. To showcase the cadre of CWP presenters who can provide outstanding Professional Development (PD) to requesting school districts.

THREE WAYS TO GET INVOLVED

Whether you are a new TC or a Veteran, this is your opportunity to "try-out" a workshop, to gain experience, and to develop confidence by presenting to a real audience.

  1. If you would like to present a 90-minute workshop, please send your name and workshop title to Lynn Hoffman, ASAP. Presenters will receive a $150 honorarium. To present a 90 minute workshop, please click on the following link and complete the Call for Workshops for the TC Workshop Showcase form. E-mail this completed form to Lhoffman@crec.org.
  2. If you would like to join the event planning committee, please send your name and contact information to Lynn Hoffman.
  3. If you would like to work on the day of the event, please send your name and contact information to Lynn Hoffman.
