Re-Envisioning the Writer's Notebook

This workshop will provide a theoretical base for the purpose of the writer's notebook as well as discuss several approaches to its implementation in the classroom. In addition, this workshop will encourage those teachers who are familiar with the notebook to re-envision new ways to engage students throughout each unit of study and during various stages of the writing process. An in-depth discussion will occur about assessing students' notebooks as a means to inform our writing instruction. Participants will receive a hanbook of ideas and strategies.
