Poetry Slam: Taking it Public - Out of the Portfolio and into the Real World Take a fresh look at publishing. This workshop will explore ways to engage students through the power of publication. We will explore poetry slam and online publishing as alternatives to traditional print publication. She has been writing and teaching for over twenty years and has recently discovered that performance poetry and publishing unleashes great writing in her students.
