Literacy in Non-FictionThis workshop will address strategies connected to successful literacy in non-fiction; among them, connecting, questioning, note-taking, and comparing. Teachers from K-12 grade-levels and all disciplines are welcome. Teachers may bring a particular text (article length) to use for modeling purposes and for immediate application in their classrooms. Date: Saturday, September 29, 2007 9 AM – 12 Noon Presenter: Donna Ozga Brief Bio: Donna Ozga recently retired as the English Department Head and Literacy Teacher at Bristol Eastern High School.
