Using Independent Reading to Help Students Prepare for CAPT

Since "reading and writing are two sides of the same coin," students who are offered choices for reading are more encouraged to write.  They will write more and they will be more thoughtful and reflective in their writing. This workshop will provide ideas for how teachers can incorporate indenpendent reading projects in order to aid students in their preparation for the CAPT exam.

Audience: Content will be of particular interest to Middle and High School teachers but all grade levels are welcome
